Prof. David BASSIR

Professor at University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UTBM) & Researcher at ENS-CMLA, France


David BASSIR is as Professor at the French University of Technology and Senior Researcher at the CNRS -UMR 8536 – ENS Cachan (France). He’s also a foreign expert for advances material and structures at the Chinese Academy of Sciences-GZIIT-CAS. Previously, he was the Dean of the University of technology (IUT) at the University of Lorraine (France), Consult for Science and Technology at the French Embassy to serve at the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou (China), General Director of Research at the Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics, du Batiment et de l'Industrie (Paris) and Space Craft engineer at GECI Technology in different Space Agencies such as Arianespace (France) and Astrium Group. He joined the Mechanical Department of the UTBM as Associate professor in 2001 and the Chair of Aerospace Structures at Technical University of Delft as visiting professor in 2008. He holds a Master and a PhD degree in structural optimization from the University of Franche-Comte (France), with the most honorable mention. He has published more than 150 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings. He is the founder of the ASMDO association and the Int. journal IJSMDO that is published by EDP Sciences. He serves as member of various expert committees in many international organizations and highly estimated scientific societies. Professor BASSIR is also President of the Sino-French Association for Sciences and Technology (AFCS&T) acting as a bridge that promote and link innovative companies and research centers between France and China.

Prof.Fu-Hsiang Ko

Fu-Hsiang Ko received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from National Tsing Hua University and National Taiwan Normal University in 1989 and 1991, respectively. Then, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Atomic Science (now Department of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences) from National Tsing Hua University in 1996. He joined the National Nano Device Lab. (now Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute, TSRI) as an associate researcher since October 1996 and became researcher and manager since 2002. He moved to Institute of Nanotechnology, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) as an associate professor since 2005, and promoted as full professor from August 1, 2007. He has been published more than 200 peer review’s journal articles (total citation number > 3200, H-index = 31), and serves as program committee for International Conference on Micro- and Nano-
Engineering (MNE) since 2005. He also owns more than 20 patents since his research career.
He has been served as guest editor two times for MDPI Journal “Materials” (IF5-YEAR = 3.53) in the issue of “Stretchable and Flexible Electronic Materials & Devices” and “Advances in Bendable and Soft Material Film”. He has been as visiting professor for University of California at Irvine CA amongst July 2013 and January 2014. Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology promotes him as Board of Chemistry Review Committee during 2016-2018. He has been as Associate Dean of Student Affairs for Office of Student Affairs NCTU during 2014-2016. He is currently as the Chair for Undergraduate Honors Program of Nano Science and Engineering NCTU since 2017. His research interests include nanomaterial for biosensor fabrication, hybrid nanomaterial with innovative property and application, and flexible transistor and memory devices.
